The full moon is SO more than a spotlight for manifestation – it’s a luminous mirror, revealing what lies beneath the surface.
When you lie beneath the full Moon, you may notice that your dreams become more vivid, as the veil between the waking and sleeping realms grows thin. It is a time of clarity, of seeing things as they truly are – both within and without.
Under this glowing moon, we don’t just dream — we remember, we receive, we awaken.
These dreamy full moon truffles are designed to be made as part of your full moon ritual: this is kitchen witchery at its finest!
A witchy dessert spell to both soothe the mind (yes we all tend to feel a bit frazzled under the full moon’s gaze!), and open the gates of lucid dreaming, allowing the quiet wisdom of your inner world to be heard.
So as you stir, infuse, and roll these silky, chocolaty orbs, slow down your thoughts, deepen your breath, and let your intentions gently crystallize.
The herbs in this recipe – lavender and chamomile – invite peace and insight. The dark chocolate grounds and stabilises. And of course, the added element of lunar timing will heighten their power to help you dream deeply and clearly.
With each truffle, you nourish not only your body but your sacred dreamscape.
Let the alchemy begin.
Dreamy chocolate truffle recipe
Gather everything before you start so you can give the process your undivided attention.
Truffle ingredients:
-
200g (7 oz) dark chocolate, finely chopped
-
1/2 cup heavy cream
-
1 tbsp dried culinary lavender
-
1 tbsp dried chamomile flowers
-
1 tsp honey (for sweetness and attraction energy)
-
Pinch of sea salt
Outer Coating Options:
-
Crushed rose petals (for gentle love and dream-heart opening)
-
Cocoa powder
-
Shredded coconut
-
Crushed pistachios (for heart-centered clarity)
Method:
Before starting, cleanse your kitchen with intention. You may like to light a candle, diffuse cleansing essential oils like juniper or clary sage, and take a moment to centre yourself.
Call your kitchen guardian to oversee your work, if you have one.
Warm the cream in a small saucepan over low heat until just simmering. Remove from the heat and add the lavender and chamomile.
Cover and let the herbs steep for 10 minutes, allowing their calming properties to infuse into the cream. Strain out the herbs.
Gently reheat the cream if needed, then pour it over the chopped dark chocolate. Let it sit for 2–3 minutes to melt.
Stir slowly into a smooth, glossy ganache. Add the honey and sea salt. While stirring, focus on your intention, perhaps:
“I open my heart to clarity. I invite healing dreams. I trust what rises in the quiet.”
Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour until firm.
When ready, scoop and roll the chilled ganache into truffle-sized balls. A melon baller makes this easier, but you can use teaspoons and then roll between your palms.
Coat each truffle in your chosen coating.
Store in the fridge in an airtight container. Eat one on the night of the full moon, ideally just before bed, or a moonlight meditation.
Full Moon Dreaming Tips:
Intentional dreaming is a practice, so if you can’t remember or understand your dreams straightaway, don’t panic! Here are some tips to help:
-
Set an intention before sleep
Always whisper a question, or request guidance before bed: “What truth needs to surface?” or “Show me what I am ready to see.” Or if you’re struggling to even remember your dreams, simply say “My intention is to remember my dream” -
Keep a dream journal nearby: Dreams fade fast. Keep a notebook and pen on your nightstand and write the moment you wake – even fragments matter.
-
Limit stimulation an hour before bed: Avoid screens and intense conversations. Let your nervous system unwind. Dim the lights and embrace stillness.
-
Cleanse your sleep space: Burn calming herbs like lavender or mugwort, sprinkle salt at your windowsill, or simply tidy your space to invite clarity.
-
Sleep with a crystal under your pillow: Moonstone, amethyst, or labradorite can enhance dream recall and deepen intuitive insight.
-
Consume a truffle mindfully: Eat one slowly, with intention. Visualise your mind becoming still and receptive, like a calm lake under moonlight.
Each full moon is an invitation to slow down and listen – not with your ears, but with your heart.
These dreamy full moon chocolate truffles are more than a treat; they’re a ritual, so treat the entire process with reverence. As you savour each one, you’re signalling to your body and spirit that it’s time to release, receive, and remember.
Use them as part of a sacred nighttime practice during the full moon, when the boundary between your waking life and dreamworld is most porous.
The moon’s glow illuminates what’s been hidden – and your dreams may carry the messages you’ve been waiting for.
