She is darkening

It is impossible to usher in the rising feminine without also holding space for her darkness.

The Moon shows us this so clearly. Just because much of her face is shrouded in darkness, She’s no less powerful. Perhaps She is more powerful because of it…?

When *you* are the dark, when you are clothed in your shadows, you are also this powerful. Though it’s hard to see and know that, isn’t it?

Society *really* doesn’t want to hold space for it.

As parents, we hurry our children away from bad moods and grumpy frowns, drying their tears and “shushing” their tempers because they are both hard to handle and often inconvenient… So is it any wonder that WE as adults, don’t know how to hold the less-than-sunny sides of ourselves?

The dark Moon stands as a metaphor and a totem for the Dark Feminine.

She who has been suppressed, hidden, and silenced.

It sounds grand, doesn’t it? (And it IS) but suppression of the sacred dark also comes in tiny, everyday ways. Ways like :

✪ Not letting your child (or yourself) cry and scream.

✪ Not speaking your truth because it may offend.

✪ judging other women for being “too” this, or “not enough” that (even on mute, in your own head.. this is silent, internalised violence)

✪ Shaming your body and her functions (ike your own monthly Moon) .

As the deep dark widens in the days before the New Moon arrives, can you catch yourself suppressing yourself?

Can you begin to notice where the dark feminine wants to reveal her power… through you? Just like the light (and every shade of grey), the Dark Feminine isn’t rising somewhere over there, just beyond reach.

The dark Feminine is emerging *through* you.

Can you let her?
